Our Aim is to commercialise a technology called Superplastic Laser Induced Component Equipment (SPLICE), pioneered at the University of the West of England, Bristol, enabling the lightest, strongest, most corrosion resistant and fatigue enduring, complex structures ever to be produced. Such structures would be attractive to a wide range of industries including aerospace, motor vehicle manufacture, rolling stock production, architectural devices, medical prostheses and numerous other industries. Ultimately our aim is to develop the world’s first laser based manufacturing cell.
Our Objective is to produce and market integrated laser manufacturing cells for the superplastic forming (SPF) and diffusion bonding (DB) of alloys of titanium, aluminium, steel and, possibly, ceramics.
